Privacy policy

This policy explains what Addis Vids collects when you create an account and generate videos or images, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and how to get it deleted. It applies to https://www.addisvids.com and everything under it.

What we collect

• Account data — your email address and, if you set one, a display name. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in readable form.
• Generation data — the prompts you write, the images or videos you upload as inputs, and the media the models return for you.
• Payment requests — the method (Telebirr, CBE Birr, Bank of Abyssinia), the amount, and the transfer screenshot you submit so we can confirm a payment and add credits. We never see or store full bank or card numbers.
• Technical data — IP address, browser and device information, and a browser fingerprint used only to stop one person claiming the free trial repeatedly.
• Support messages — anything you send through the contact form, by email, or over Telegram.
• Analytics — aggregate page-view statistics through Google Analytics.

Why we use it

To run your account and credit balance, to generate and deliver the media you ask for, to confirm payments and add the credits you bought, to prevent abuse of the free trial, to answer support requests, and to understand which parts of the site people actually use. We do not use your data to train our own models.

Who we share it with

Only the processors we need to operate the service: our authentication and database host, our media storage provider, the AI model provider that runs the job you submitted, and Google Analytics. The prompt and any input files for a generation are sent to the model provider selected for that job. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

What stays private

Your generations are private by default. Media only becomes visible to other people if you publish it to Explore or mint a share link — and you can make it private again at any time from your gallery.

How long we keep it

• Account and credit records: for as long as your account exists.
• Payment records: for as long as Ethiopian bookkeeping rules require us to keep them.
• Generated media and uploads: until you delete them, or until your account is closed.
• Analytics: retained in aggregate by Google Analytics under its own retention settings.

Your choices

• Delete individual generations and uploads from your gallery at any time.
• Unpublish anything you previously made public on Explore or shared by link.
• Request a copy of your data, or the deletion of your account and everything in it, by emailing support@addisvids.com. We action deletion requests within 30 days.
• Block cookies in your browser — the site still works, but you will be signed out between visits.

Security

Traffic is served over HTTPS only, and access to your account data is restricted at the database level so one account cannot read another's rows. No system is perfect: if we ever discover a breach that affects you, we will tell you.

Children

Addis Vids is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@addisvids.com and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
